There is art in the air when this father-son duo is together. Both Aloke Lal and Maanas Lal consider each other their inspiration. While Aloke best expresses himself on canvas with his brush, Maanas is adept at using the camera as a vehicle of reaching out to the viewer.

Aloke Lal and Maanas Lal are often out with exhibitions of their work. They have covered the length and breadth of India through many successful exhibitions of their paintings and photographs.

While painting and photography are gifts that they both enjoy, Maanas is driven by a spirit of innovation, and has developed his own technique of bringing together these two genres to produce what he calls Mix-media Painting.

The artists live in the idyllic Himalayan foothill town of Dehradun in India.
